About the Digital Strategy Exchange
Vision
DSX becomes a global professional community where brand-side in-house digital leaders connect, collaborate, learn, and excel. DSX is the “X” factor that elevates the career of every member through authentic peer relationships, practical knowledge exchange, and collective commitment to advancing digital leadership.
Mission
DSX is the champion and collective voice for the in-house digital leadership profession. We help people get jobs and get promoted. We transform individual challenges into collective opportunities. We ensure that in-house digital leaders help to shape the digital future rather than merely respond to it.

Why DSX, Why Now?
The most productive 5 years of professional development and networking of my 30 year digital career was during the time I met on a monthly basis with my in-house digital leader peers as a member of the Internet Strategy Forum, an organization I founded for the sole reason of wanting to network with my peers.
In that network, I met and learned from digital leaders at a who’s who of brands: Disney, Dell, Intel, Visa, Nike, adidas, etc.
Now that the digital landscape is more complex than ever, I feel the need for that same exclusive peer networking and learning, without worrying about people in the room or in my online community trying to sell me something.

Founding Principles
Members will ONLY be brand/in-house employees who have responsibility for driving digital strategy and execution (e.g., digital marketing, eCommerce, digital merchandising, digital operations, digital transformation, customer service, etc.) at medium-to-large companies (e.g., no vendors, agencies, or influencers).
Meetings and online discussion forums will be opportunities to network exclusively with peers and learn by sharing experiences, case studies, lessons learned, best practices, and experiences with vendors/platforms/agencies.
Provide members with support for managing industry-wide issues and changes.
Speakers and panelists at events will mostly be peers, not vendors selling something or “influencers” with little practical corporate/brand experience.
Help members hasten the move to the C-suite, developing the skills to become the next generation of leaders, not just in digital, but for the company overall.
Create opportunities to educate senior business executives and the media about the value of our work.
Help members take control of our narrative regarding issues that impact our profession by communicating our collective opinions (e.g., custom market research) to large tech vendors and the media.
